GODS OWN X HAPPY BIRD YEARLING COLT

The colt is by Champion 3yo GOD’S OWN who was the winner of the Group 1 Caulfield Guineas and just short of $1,000,000 in prize money. We all remember GOD’S OWN winning the Caulfield Guineas from a near impossible position but many believe that his greatest run was when second to Takeover Target in the Lightning Stakes over 1000m at Flemington where he took many lengths off the winner to just fall short. GOD’S OWN was also the highest priced horse at the Sydney Classic yearling sale in 2004 and is a very good looking individual as you could imagine. GOD’S OWN is by Champion Sire REDOUTES CHOICE who has produced 52 stakes winners including Group 1 winners Miss Finland, Samantha Miss, Stratum, Snitzel, Gallica and Undoubtedly. GOD’S OWN’S oldest progeny are 2yo and are expected to better suited as 3yo’s by all reports.  

The Dam of this colt is Happy Bird whom was a winner at 2000m from a small amount of starts and at stud has produced 5 foals to race for 4 winners. HAPPY BIRD is by successful stallion BLUEBIRD who is the broodmare sire of the following Group 1 winners Yell, Zagalia, Universal Queen, Universal Prince, Thorn Park, The Duke, Russeting and Metal Bender amongst his 42 stakes winners.

A 10 owner racing partnership is being formed for this colt with prices starting at $5,500 which includes 12 Months Mortality insurance, Breaking In expenses, Floating from the sales, all X Ray examinations, Professional Photos of the filly and of course GST.
