Since
taking out his license in 1991, Mick Price has firmly established
himself as one of the leading racehorse trainers in Victoria
.
The Price stable enjoyed an outstanding season in 2004/05, finishing
second on the Melbourne Metropolitan Trainers Premiership with
40 city winners for the year.
Some of the stakes performed horses to be trained by Mick include
Rustic Dream, Slavonic, La Bella Dame, Vocabulary, Kempinsky,
French Bid, Halibery, Intelligent Star, Mr Trickster, World Peace,
Kylikwong, Tanith, Chattanooga, Amtrak, Red Dazzler etc.
In 2003 Mick trained the trifecta in the Group 3 Blue Diamond
Preview with Halibery, Gaelic Princess and Roedean filling all
three places while World Peace took out the race for the stable
in 2004.
Mick kept his fantastic record with two-year-olds in tact by
winning both the colts and fillies divisions of the Blue Diamond
Prelude's in 2005 with Perfectly Ready and Doubting.

Mick has tasted success in the Futurity Stakes-G1, Railway Stakes-G1,
Norman Carlyon Stakes-G2, Angus Armanasco Stakes-G2, AAMI Vase-G2,
Swettenham Stud Stakes-G2, Bill Stutt Stakes-G2, Moonee Valley
Cup-G2, and been placed in the Caulfield Guineas-G1, Toorak Handicap-G1,
1000 Guineas-G1, Victoria Derby-G1, VRC Oaks-G1, Blue Diamond
Stakes-G1, Manikato Stakes-G1 and C. F. Orr Stakes-G1
Facilities
Mick has 56 boxes located at Caulfield racecourse in Melbourne
with a variety of stables and yards that can cater for any individual
horse's needs.
Caulfield has five different surfaces for horses to work on
including turf, synthetic and sand tracks, a safe swimming pool
and two tracks for trot and canter work.
We have a modern 8 horse truck, access to a therapeutic water
treadmill and less injuries due to good, safe facilities.
We have a comprehensive network of pre-trainers available, utilising
the state of the art facilities at Macedon Lodge, Vinery Stud
in Euroa and Springstream Lodge in Rye .
As well as the stable environment, horses can be freshened throughout
their preparations by spending time at Mick's farm in Lysterfield,
just east of Melbourne .
